The brief
The owner was in Dubai for the whole build. Every decision had to be documented well enough to be approved over a phone call.
What made it difficult
A weekly photo-and-spend report with a running variation log replaced site visits — the owner saw the building once, at handover.
How it finished
All eight units tenanted within six weeks of completion. Twelve months, four site visits by the owner in total.
